Looking at the modules bugs finds Bug #56608 for MozRepl: Error (timeout) in Client.pm line 142 and line 186 (among others) which may provide a work around (I've not tested this). It's important to check if the module you are using has reported bugs, and to see if a work around/patch has been provided. This module has not been updated since 2007.
