Memory leak on Perl 5.8.8

tdkubera76 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Team, we have recently migrated the datacentre from one place to other. While done migration, there is SunOS upgradation from SunOS crm 5.10 Generic_141414-07 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-15000 TO SunOS fcrm 5.10 Generic_148888-05 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise. Problem is, one of the perl code (perl module) is occupying more memory in the new environment but we didn't face that problem in old environment. All binary files have copied from old enviornment to new enviornment. Now there is memory leak in perl code which we coouldn't identify it. Could you please someone advise if anyone faced the memory leak issue in perl. Perl version 5.8.8. Dominic

Please, give more details. What module occupies more memory? Perl 5.8.8 is 7 years old, but I still remember there were some memory problems in one of the 60,000 modules available at that time ;-) لսႽ† ᥲᥒ⚪⟊Ⴙᘓᖇ Ꮅᘓᖇ⎱ Ⴙᥲ𝇋ƙᘓᖇ	[reply]

Even if you "copied all files from the old environment to the new one, things could have changed about the surrounding environment ... new libraries ... different CPAN modules ... what have you. In order to meaningfully help you, we need (much ...) more information about the surrounding situation that you are facing. Start from the beginning . . .	[reply]
