lifang11 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
local environment:
windows 7
eclipse indigo
ActivePerl 5.16.3 Build 1603
padWalk 1.98
remote environment:
FreeBSD 6.2 release
perl, v5.8.8 built for i386-freebsd-64int
PadWalker 1.98
The problem is:
I can debug perl code from "Perl Local" but can't "Perl Remote".
I need to debug perl code using "Perl Remote".I don't know how to set up the remote debug environment.I find some threads mention that "start_epicDB.pl" connet local machine, but there is no "start_epicDB.pl". I don't find the script. And I don't understand the config "debug packege File Path" mean. The "User's Guide" is just a zip package. What is inside the zip package?
When I use Perl Remote debug function, netstat -aon|findstr "5000" I find that eclipse is listening 5000 port.
So I think the local environment is correct.
I need some help to set up the remote environment and steps to finish the remote debug funciton.
Thank you very much!!!!!!
