Hi, I'm trying to download the module above to learn something about tcp/ip but my Perl Package Manager can't find it. Can anyone tell me what is the situation? Thank you

Net::Packet is available through PPM. You need to be more specific with the error message. If you are on Windows, it seems that the PPM has build problems there.

Try Net::Frame a newer more complete framework from the same author for the same task and it builds/runs fine for me under Windows.

I've tried to download the Net::Frame module, by hand, but it failed during these commands:

UMEMOTO/Socket6-0.23.tar.gz : make NO GOMOR/Net-Frame-1.09.tar.gz : make_test NO one dependency not OK (Socket6); additionally test harness failed.

Furthermore i'm using windows xp,version Activeperl 5.16.2. But i have downloaded the NetPacket module, this seems to be what i'm looking for, i hope.

Through ppm it is not available.

And i failed building it via cpan on XP:

4 dependencies missing (Socket6,Net::Write,Net::Pcap,Net::Libdnet); ad +ditionally test harness failed

Last version on cpan is from 2008 - no comments on it, mmh...
