Bump. Using suggestions from some lab mates I have updated the code. The code runs with no errors, but there is no output...as in nothing is printed. Anyone know why?

      My mistake. I updated my original post instead of pasting the code onto another post.

        @pdblines is empty, so you never enter your for loop:

        my @pdblines = (); while (<IN>) { for ( @pdblines) {

        I can't begin to work out what you think should happen here.

        BTW: If you indent your code correctly and consistently, more people will be encouraged to consider it.
