Fishy response :)
Content-Encoding: gzip Content-Length: 13474 Content-Encoding:gzip Content-Length:13912

What do you get for  wget -d --header="Accept-encoding: gzip" -Odumb.gzip https://thebigword-careers.irecruittotal.com/

Can you  gunzip dumb.gzip?

    Is "WWW-Mechanize-GZip-0.12" useful ?

      Is "WWW-Mechanize-GZip-0.12" useful ?

Sure it is, it must be, otherwise none would have uploaded it to CPAN

OTOH, the regular WWW::Mechanize has done this for a long time ... so it probably won't change anything in your case

Why don't you copy/paste code section, this way you avoid typos?
For gunzip, try dumb.gz instead of .gzip -- I have an actual gunzip.exe not a shell file and it has no poblem with extension
