It's the right place. Don't let no-name feedback bother you. This is the Internet.

You seem to be setting the accept to nothing which is essentially telling the server: there is nothing I will accept, you know, except a 406. :P Try checking what the server supports and setting to your favorite (or easiest to support) of the possibilities. I don't know SOAP::Lite well so I don't know if that call is the right place/way to do it, but it seems sensible.

I'm not trying to make fun, and no, you're not making a fool out of yourself, but I can't help but laugh :)

Did I mention I hate soap?

I search using many search engines for "venturetest getpdfservice" and I only find this thread -- where is the documentation?

Did your default_header invocation do what you intended, were the headers removed? My tips did include debugging steps to show the request and response ...

so some random undocumented website is giving you a 406, sorry, I can't help

What does the website want? I would look at the documentation ... guessing isn't for me

I believe I answered your original question and gave you all my best tips , the rest is up to you -- sorry
