GUIfriend has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Yesterday I tried several times to connect to https://pause.perl.org in order to login into my account. My PAUSE id is "WITTROCK". The server didn't reply. I then worked several hours on www.cpantesters.org inspecting test reports that I recieved for my trial upload of distribution SudokuTrainer. Today I wanted to do the same with the new CPAN Testers Daily Summary Report. Now www.cpantesters.org also doesn't reply. I have no problem with any other internet site.

It seems to me that I have been excluded from use of PAUSE and cpantesters for some unknown reason.

Please help me out of this uncomfortable situation.

My OS is Win 7. The problem is with Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Thank you for the link. Good to know that the fault isn't on my side.

SudokuTrainer is my 1st project for CPAN. So I learn it the hard way.

Yes and yes. Yesterday I tried to connect to PAUSE several times distributed over the day. I tried it with both Firefox and Internet Explorer. After a while the browser said "The server takes too long to reply". I also used the Network Diagnosis Tool of MS. It gave rather a technical report, which sounded to me as "The server didn't accept the request". There was no error entry in the event log of Win 7.

Today I tried only once in the afternoon with both browsers. I waited several minutes before I killed them. My impression was that they were trying infinitely. Then I detected the same problem with cpantesters, which didn't exist yesterday.
