AlexTape has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Omniscient Monks,

i meditate about a perl deamon which is able to run as a service to recieve incoming mails.
furthermore to scan the incoming mails for attachments and save them to a certain folder.
i read about MIME::tools and Net::SMTP:Server.

what would be your approach?

kindly
$perlig =~ s/pec/cep/g if 'errors expected';

    You are aware that Net::SMTP:Server is from 1999? About 15 years old. And just one review from 2003. I didn't use it but mmh, caution i would say.
