Perlapp tkx/perl exe runs under perlapp but fails in open3 if double click

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I tried packaging perl and my tkx/perl script into an exe. Being Tkx I set hide Console true. The TK GUI launches a child perl script via open3.

it all works fine when tested from perlapp. But if I run it by double blocking the exe the launch of the child generates a close failed report inside of open3.

if I do not hide the console it all works fine. Any ideas what I need to change to stop the open3 problem?
