I've never tried Perl golf in my life, but I found eyepopslikeamosquito's series fascinating. One of them, The golf course looks great, my swing feels good, I like my chances (Part V), actually describes drawing a clock face. This might give you some ideas on how to draw circular output in ASCII. It might also take a large part of your life away. You won't get it back.
