Error During Script Registration

angeljs has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm a perl dunce, but nevertheless I'm trying to install a (fairly geriatric) PPC search script, and all seemed to be going well until I tried to update the final setting, then I received the following error:

Error During Script Registration:
/home/******/public_html/include.cgi did not return a true value at (e
+val 8) line 1.

Line 1 is: #!/usr/bin/perl Any help would be appreciated.
