Thanks for the reply, I do know it can be done the problem is that I don't know how to input into the user and password boxes at the link I posted then click login. CPAN also seems to be down right now so i cant check on there.

Maybe now is a good time to learn how HTTP works? In short, all this "form input" does not exist over the network. WWW::Mechanize (for example) hides the transformations from you, which is why it is usually recommended to be used when simulating a browser. Also, when http://search.cpan.org is down, there also is https://metacpan.org/, and also CPAN (modulename).	[reply]
