VicBalta has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

HI

My question is about sending email and reading email through perl. Now I know that there are mail modules out there like Mail::Tools and probably a bunch of other ones that I don't know about. But what my question is what happens when your not using a pop mail server. And you need to go through Exchange. Is there a module or any examples on how to do this. I have done some searching on the internet and found one module call win32::MAPI. But this is not located or supported by cpan. Is there another module that I can use. Is this the only one out there? And has any one ever used it before?

Any help would be great, Thanks

Victor

Win32::MAPI works fine. I wrote some code for my former employer with it. The examples included are nice and straight forward, and installation instructions are included.

Unfortunately, due to M$ and not CPAN, it is difficult to install many CPAN-ed modules on Win32. AS got around it w/ PPM, which is how you install this one.
