Interesting. Possibly yes. Looking at the version modules change log, (http://cpansearch.perl.org/src/JPEACOCK/version-0.9908/README), it may have been fixed in 0.92 (RT https://rt.perl.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=95544).

I'll see if I can get the admins to update this module and return with progress.
