While not a direct answer to your question, you'll find that studying the manual and tutorials for Template will have high value for what you are doing.

You must always remember that the primary goal is to drain the swamp even when you are hip-deep in alligators.

    I have very recently jumped into perl specially the cgi web stuff, I know I do need to study a lot if I want to get anywhere in perl and cgi and I WILL study your link reference as well ! Rgds Terry
