installing from CPAN fails too.

CPAN is a source code repository

http://invisible-island.net/cdk/cdk-perl.html lists https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=libcdk-perl and http://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/head/devel/p5-Cdk/

This is what I mean by packages

apt-get install libcdk-perl
