I think its more the slimeballs mugging the blind. And then the blind pushing the +2.00 glasses on everybody else since they've been told it will "solve all their vision problems".
I do not see a credible value-proposition here, despite the intense sales pressure.Value tends to be inversely proportional to sales pressure (in addition to other factors of course).
On another note, was that guy's career selling the course or actual development? If he has no dev skills as he implies, perhaps it is allowing him to paper over that sad fact with distracting letters.
