Thanks for the quick response. I tried "@lines = split /\s+/, $t2;" and I still get the same output. I can send an email of the file to anyone who is willing to help me. Im lost on what to do.
No, don’t send an email, that’s not how PerlMonks works. Instead, post here (in this thread) some sample data, together with the output you are actually getting and the exact output you expect to be getting. Read through How do I post a question effectively?, you will find it useful.
