Actually, many of us do remember .. and we also remember how much that sucked. Many of us have been in the practice of helping others with their computer issues for as long as we have been learning ourselves. We have learned, through long experience, that giving answers away can be worse than not answering at all. That has to be especially true in anything related to security!
