Buuntu has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm new to web hosting and I'm trying to decide on a site to host a Dancer application. It would be nice if most modules, etc. where installed out of the box, I'm just not sure what else to look for in a site other than the price and general Perl support.

I know DotCloud is recommended for Dancer apps but the pricing is too expensive for me, especially when you include MySQL and SSL support.

Are there better alternatives? Will www.pair.com work?

Apparently Ruby hackers still have trouble handling character encoding. :P

ArgumentError at /register invalid byte sequence in UTF-8

Yeah I actually just signed up for that service (waiting to hear back) but I'm not sure it's suitable for long-term hosting.
