We are all evil. Look at our intentions.
Is Perl clean? Is this monastery clean?
Whilst we wait, for a day will come
When we will see,
all that we have become.

    I am evil.

    People (monks) are inherently evil.

To achieve enlightnment, is to struggle against nature and win for the day(to not be evil -- its an ongoing fight)

Have I won the battle for today? -- I honestly can't tell

    update:

Marta was watching the football game with me when she said, "You know, most of these sports are based on the idea of one group protecting its territory from invasion by another group." "Yeah," I said, trying not to laugh. Girls are funny.
