Update: I'll have to investigate. It seems I'm using --install_base on some systems, but --install-base on others. The latter might not work.

options start with -- they're --options https://metacpan.org/pod/Module::Build#install_base	[reply]

i updated the mbuildpl_arg using the front 2 dashes, but still getting the same error: o conf mbuildpl_arg "--installdirs=site --install_base=/opt/app/d1cap1w6/.perl"	[reply]

and then what happened? Either you made a typo, didn't save changes, or ... or ... You can alway go the way of ENVironment varibles Re: One liner to config cpan to install all dependencies automatically along with temp modules?	[reply]
