Sirwunton has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, I have fallen onto an older script of perl and have been racking my brains trying to figure out the solution. I have a sendmail script, it works only some of the time and when it does work it only sends from my personal email address to the destination...any advice would be deeply appreciated.

I would also suggest checking the machine's mail queue and mail service logs, and the sender and/or envelope sender's mailboxes for possible bounce messages.

    Hope that helps.

It would be very helpful to see your code, or a shortened example that repoduces the problem. See also more hints on how to help us help you here.

Having said that, if you're opening sendmail and piping your mail there, that method is somewhat outdated and there are several modules to help you send email. See e.g. How do I send email?

Nothing like enough information here to form even a guess at an answer.

I am still unsure at this point if they would expend the effort to click on a link I posted. Don't want to overwhelm them with overly-high expectations. Not on their first day.
