It's not the driver distinction (which is a useful heads up), but the very mention of MySQL/MariaDB that will likely bring the PostgreSQL enthusiasts and possibly other DB proponents out.

No worry on choice of database since I can only use MySQL since it's already set-up by DBA and unlikely I can request any other database.	[reply]

That does not stop me from strongly recommending PostgreSQL instead of MySQL and its forks.
