SMS services

jatuljain has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am new to SMPP module. I am looking for some script which can send a SMS from ESME --> SMSC. Though this we already have as "sendmessage.pl".

My intention is to check SMSC server.

What I need next is receive the same SMS sent to other ESME. In this case let say receive.pl. Basically setup would be like ESME (Subscriber 1) --> SMSC --> ESME(Subscriber 2) Can you please help me in this. I am able to send Submit_sm and get the response. But I am not getting how to forward the same to ESME receiver side ?

Had you asked for citations or references leading to a solution, your request would raise no red flags. But asking "for some script" looks like a request that we provide a solution. That's not the purpose of the Monastery: we're here to help you learn or solve problems; not to provide scripts to order.	[reply] [d/l]

Not even knowing what those abbreviations are, I was able to search for CPAN modules that claim to support those protocols: Net::SMPP, Net::EMI::Client Have you tired those modules? What have you tried in general? Please show us some code we can help you with. See also How do I post a question effectively?	[reply]
