Unix::Uptime is not multi-platform. For example on Solaris you get this on installation:

It supports multiple platforms, which isn't to say it supports all platforms. "Currently, this module just supports Linux, FreeBSD, Darwin (Mac OS X), OpenBSD, and NetBSD. It should be easy enough to add support for other operating systems, though."	[reply]
