1nelly1 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I would like to install WWWW::Mechanize::Chrome and the last dependency I need to install is Imager-File-PNG.
I am using cpanminus for installation and it says: OS unsupported: PNG libraries or headers not found. So I installed 'gnuwin32 libpng' but this does not change anything.
Can somebody please help me?
Also I would be interested if anybody is running WWW::Mechanize::Chrome on Windows and ActiveState-Perl.
Thank you 1nelly1

Imager and Imager::File::PNG are only needed if you want screenshots. If you don't need to do these, you can ignore that prerequisite and (force-)install the module without it.

      Dear Corion,
thank you for that information. I don't need screenshots. So I will force the installation. Very good.
      Thank you

It seem that you could make life easier for yourself by switching to Strawberry perl, out of the box it has a sane build environment included, along with many modules, tools and libraries.

      Dear marto,
thank you very much for your comment.
Yes, you are absolutely right. However with Strawberry Perl I had difficulties to install Image::Magick which I also need. And with ActiveState-Perl I have already a running system.
Now as I know from Corion that it is only needed for screenshot function I will force the installation on ActiveState-Perl.
      Thank you.
