Seems that someone has been hiding under a stone for some time, or at least they didn't pay any attention to what SawyerX said about Perl 7 (and how it is different from what Perl 6/Raku turned out to be).
Perl 6 had, from the very start, accepted to break compatibility with Perl 5 wherever the history of Perl 5 got in the way to create a new language in the Perl family. This got pretty far, as we've seen. Perl 7, on the other hand, will be pretty much Perl 5.
