I miss him too.

I thought I would. Several years ago he was thinking about quitting and I helped talk him out of it in a couple of private messages. I considered him a friend. I didn’t realize he considers anyone who disagrees with him nothing. His last couple of years and sporadic moments sprinkled in before were less and less helpful—even wrong sometimes but digging in to try to bully others into agreeing—and regularly denigrating Perl passive aggressively. His rather ugly and entitled exit was a direct consequence of his degrading participation.

Everybody can tell that I often didn't like his discussion style.

I still regret losing my cool in telling him so.

FWIW: And I you. I nevr considered you nothing. Ever!

And the word that caused our falling out; where I come from is nothing more than the most mild of admonishments. Literally akin to 'twit'. A word taht was regularly applied to me and by me growing up with as little concern as saying"you chump" or something equally comic-bool like.

I was unware of any other conncutation of that word prior to your reaction to my use of it.

And feel free to dispose of this account. I came looking for a piece of code I wrote a long time ago and this thread turned u in the search matches. I just wanteed to set the record straight. First time here in a decade perhaps. How time flies.
