I don’t think they can be argued. Perl had no deployment module for shared hosting and never did because the community refused to see modperl was a wrong answer and was a little high and mighty about code like WordPress because it really was a dangerous trash heap in the early days but it got to market.

I’ve worked with a lot of Perl hackers and read a lot of code here and there and it’s safe to say, the code you write is among the least standard perl I’ve ever seen. So your preaching about standards and the wild west of post-fix operators comes off like drunken party crashing.
