in thread Komodo IDE is now Free

does it really run?

I found a python.exe in my win but it's mainly a link to an app store.

Found this in the net:

"every install of Windows will include python and python3 commands that take you directly to the Python store page."

If it runs, maybe check what else was installed with the same timestamp.

    does it really run?

It opens up a command prompt looking window with the following:

    Python 2.7.17 (v2.7.17:c2f86d86e6, Oct 19 2019, 21:01:17) [MSC v.1500 +64 bit (AMD64)] on win32 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>>
I guess that's Python doing its thing...

since there's really a python there and findable, where python will show you where in your path it is -- which will give a hint what app may have bundled it.

Thanks - I'd completely forgotten about where. On the laptop which really does have Python (t'other one has a link to Microsoft Store) it is located in

        C:\Python27\
        so no clues there...

I've checked on another Windows laptop and it doesn't have Python.

    Update...
It does have an app called python.exe that is not in a Python directory and, like you say, opens the Microsoft Store.
