As learned recently you can also use
CitrusPerl to pack your executables. Even if i have not tested yet Citrus Perl seems a good choice and has not the very-slow-first-time-run problem of pp (this is because pp create an archive and the first time it has to be extracted, possibly with the whole Perl release embedded)
