AFAIK does Fisher-Yates start with the highest range in `rand` not the lowest. The proof may contain similar elements but I have trouble seeing the obvious analogy... Cheers Rolf _{(addicted to the Perl Programming Language :) Wikisyntax for the Monastery}	[reply]
