See qx, exec doesn't return.

Sorry, but I don't think this is good advice. Even if it were necessary to run an external perl, which it practically never is except maybe in a test suite, qx has quite a few caveats.

I think people will rather read a long winded dialog than a long post. The reply was from perldoc, probably you should rather invest in improving them? :) I don't see the point in reproducing the best posts again and again, you should rather use your influence to make run3 into core.	[reply]
