Checkbox in Excel

Arik123 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I need to create an Excel (xlsx or even xls) file that contains checkboxes. Is there any way to do it?

EDIT: I forgot to add that I'm on Linux. So any Win32 solution probably won't work.

Feature request: Add Checkbox control, is the target client going to be on Windows running Excel? If so you may be able to achieve this using VBA, adding it to your perl generated XLX.	[reply]

Isn't xlsx not just a zipped xml file? If it's even possible to have a checkbox in excel (?) , than you should be able to identify the code after unzipping it. :) - Ron	[reply]
