Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Why w perldb debug command not work in a sub
w $pre, @_, !$pre
is ready set but when trace step into sub having its own $pre, Perl debugger do nothing. Please help solve to get this benefit

    because my declares a new variable distinct to the one you are w(atching).

    The original $pre doesn't change, hence no break.
