Note from THE FUTURE: these days there are also PDL libraries to visualise using Gnuplot (PDL::Graphics::Gnuplot), PLplot (PDL::Graphics::PLplot), and OpenGL (PDL::Graphics::TriD).

A wrapper for the PGPLOT, Gnuplot and PLplot libraries is PDL::Graphics::Simple which provides a common interface to all of them.
