Kludgy ui but were there some way to click something next to a code section (edit akin to the d/l link) that would return/add the tidied content for that block. Really I'm not coming up with anything I'd call good save heading down the path of madness to a more rich-text-y WYSIWYMG (... What You May Get) editor.

heading down the path of madness to a more rich-text-y WYSIWYMG There is an implementation of this which we could follow. Everything2 has a WYSIWYG editor, and both Perl Moks and Everything are based on the same platform. Personally, I feel it would be a highly desirable feature. However, I would suggest that it be switchable to the existing input arrangement for those who don't like change or want to do something flashy that is beyond the editor.	[reply]

both Perl Moks and Everything are based on the same platform Frequently given answers to such statements go in the direction that PM and E2 have started from the same codebase, but have a long history of incompatible changes. Or, quoting Wikipedia: Perlmonks: The code that the site runs on is a much hacked fork of an early version of the Everything Engine and was created by Nathan Oostendorp as part of Blockstackers Intergalactic — the firm that also ran Slashdot. As a result, PerlMonks has many features in common with both Everything2 and Slashdot I don't know a single line of E2 or PM code, but it is VERY OLD code that should be handled with a lot of care.
