"I have 30 years of experience."
I have 50 years experience with computers; 30 years with Perl.
I'm sure I use various shortcuts because I know what I'm doing.
These may work fine for my personal use; I'd never use them for $work.
I wouldn't promote them on this or any other forum: you shouldn't either.
"So, if we invent a shortcut or patch to fix a broken software or hardware, then you're suggesting that we shouldn't share our solution?"
The AM to whom you're replying suggested no such thing.
The fact that you felt it necessary to reach for a straw man
rather suggests that you are unable to present a cogent argument.
Your use of this tactic has earned a downvote from me.
Finally, please stop posting great walls of text.
Few people will bother to read all of it, so you're mostly just wasting your own time.
I'd recommend marshalling your thoughts first, then presenting them in a concise manner:
as an example, consider the 572-character sentence in your previous post in this thread
(which started with "This directory includes programs like ...")
and how you could have conveyed the same information using substantially less text.
Quite frankly, in the context of a response to a poll,
your first short paragraph (or something very similar) would have sufficed.
