°) plus renegade Islands

Which should not to be confused with the European Union Outermost Regions. If one of the reason TPF is not available in the EU is along the lines "we only deal with the American continent", the EU can certainly help out in this case: French Guiana in South America is part of France, therefore part of the EU, therefore part of the European banking system. Couldn't we just, you know invite those board members to a rocket launch and have them sign up for a bank account while they're on (technically) european soil?

Technically, there are also the "Overseas countries and territories", so if TPF prefers a tax heaven, i think we are able to provide a few of those to pick and choose.

Well France has still possessions in NA, with the very fortunate top-level-domain .pm ...

No sure if they also have a bank on that small island?

But I think it's more a cultural divide, if you are from the US you rarely need to think in multi-national context.

I also remembered YEF, but it's restricted to funding YAPC and nowadays mostly run by one person alone, AFAIK.
