I started programming in high school in 1978 on my Apple ][ (not "+", not "c", not "e"). I also did hardware interface projects.
I spent until 2007 in the computer industry, working for several different major computer corporations, including Boeing, DEC (during Compaq buyout), Legent, Cisco Systems. I've worked in many microprocessor assembly codes, Basic, C, C++, Pascal, Perl, VBScript, Java, etc.
Since then, I've become a viticulturist (winegrape grower), and winemaker - I do still do some small-scale website hosting on the side.
I have implemented significant projects in Perl, and believe it is the most useful, effective and versatile computer language there is.
