"...Larry has announced that the Perl 6 Developers will attempt to make a development release of Version 1.0 of Perl 6.0 in time for his 61st Birthday this year and a Version 1.0 release by Christmas 2015."

So the plan is to synchronize Larry's age with the Perl 6 version...?!?

Is THAT the reason for the delay? ;-D

BTW, is Larry working on a book about Perl 6, like the Camel?
If he does, it'll need a smashy title, like

      "The Joy of Six"

      or

"Six Six Six - Return of the Undead"

      Cheers Rolf

I have no idea, it's an interesting question though.

OK, I hate Perl 6 just as much as the next guy, but hopefully it'll be something decent.

    "perhaps"

    "maybe"

    "attempt"

They weren't serious any of the previous times they made weak-tea promises like this, but this time we're certain it isn't clownshoes.

I was there at FOSDEM and I can ssure you that Larry was mode adamant than that.
