in reply to Levels of Monks: missing a row

I've reread what I wrote several times. It is completely beyond me how this resulted in the posts that followed, which included words and phrases such as "imbalance", "patch", "re-open old wounds", and so on.

By way of clarification, here's the steps I went through yesterday afternoon [my timezone: UTC+11:00] which led to my post:

I was rather expecting a single reply, possibly from someone in the SiteDocClan cabal, containing text along the lines of:

"Well spotted. I've added the missing row. Thanks."

Perhaps that can still happen. :-)

It's kind of a regression bug after replacing "pope" and referencing the source context might help the maintainer fixing the resulting problem. Probably other structures in the monastery are implicated too.

It might also be interesting for outsiders. A thread is read by hundreds of people after all.

Yes. The background to this surprising discrepancy may be of interest to other monks ... and is the main reason I hang out here rather than SO, as nicely summarized by Perl Monks pioneer tye:

Most languages are like stackoverflow: I have a question, I want the best answer. Perl is like PerlMonks: I have a doubt, I want to read an interesting discussion about it that is likely to go on a tangent. q-:
