This took me totally by surprise. However, I would actually be interested in implementing crypt for password storage here, and would be willing to examine the code and submit suggestions for this if I might be directed to where to see the relevant code. I have not yet figured out how to see that portion of the codebase, though I noticed I may now see some of the code, apparently for the display of the various pages. Where might I find the routines for password handling?

Crypt alone is not sufficient, you'll need an account recovery mechanism replacing the current one, after the passwords are not recoverable any more Could you please stop yapping at the big dogs? It's too obvious that your ego is far bigger than your skills. So better try becoming presidential candidate for the GOP	[reply]

That was unnecessary. He seems to be sincere; he might even be a good programmer; he just doesn’t have any idea (yet) how obscenely complicated this site's code is. We get so few volunteers, I’d really prefer not to drive off the few that we get. Thank you. Today's latest and greatest software contains tomorrow's zero day exploits.	[reply]
