Castigating someone for his or her disability will not capacitate or empower him or her to suddenly have an ability....no one is doing that!
You're the only one who has mentioned a disability or limitation. We're literally telling you that you can write better code and offering suggestions to make that a reality. How do you twist that to make yourself a victim?
Do you wish to do my programming for me because you despise the way in which I do it?We're not passing judgement on the way you write code. We don't even know how you write code. We haven't even seen a snippet of code you wrote. We're just accepting your own assessment of the code and offering ways to make it easier to manage and understand.
We only know that you're unhappy with the way you did it.
If so, be my guest. Share with me your email address and we might be able to arrange something. As it stands, I'm coding alone, with no hopes of anyone else ever getting involved or helping to maintain my code.I'll quote myself from last week: "Post your code somewhere. I remember you hate the idea of putting code on github but put it somewhere because I wanna see it. We gotta see the function that uses fifty different parameters every time it's called. You keep talking about it but we (apparently) can't help without seeing the code itself."
We can only help with a refactor if we can see the code itself and I asked to see it. Everyone who has replied with a suggestion has also been trying to help you. We're not going to beg but I don't know how we could have made it any clearer that we wanted to help.
And my email address is public but I have no interest in making this a private conversation. You pushed this from basic code help to... whatever this is now, and I am not a therapist. If you're really, honestly, interested in help, start a new thread and I'm sure we'll try to help you out. But remember, we can't help someone who sees possible solutions or offers of assistance as slights on their abilities or intelligence. You show up looking for help, don't feel threatened when [edit: reasonable] help is offered.
If, then, I code in a manner that I can understand, why should this upset you?[edit: You don't understand it though. And, besides,] it doesn't upset me. You're the only one unhappy with the code you've written. You're so over it that you're willing to throw everything away and start from scratch in a different language. We've just been trying to help you save what you put so much effort into and improve your skills as a developer while doing so.
Please, for your own sake, think about refactoring your code to deal with less data at a time when you start the Raku rewrite. There's only so many ways we can tell you that keeping track of the number of parameters isn't the problem that needs to be resolved, it's trying to deal with too much data in a single function. Try doing it in ways that make sense as smaller processes. Break it down into more manageable parts that are easier to understand, keep track of, and test.
You'll surprise yourself with how much you can learn by just looking at your code differently.
