Takamoto has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
I code on macOS, and I am experimenting with Strawberry Perl Portable on Parallels. At the moment, everything is working fines but cpan/cpanm, with this error around UNC paths. Anyone ever worked with this environment that is able to advice?
C:\Windows\system32>cpanm Config::Tiny --> Working on Config::Tiny Fetching http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/R/RS/RSAVAGE/Config-Tiny-2.30. +tgz ... OK Configuring Config-Tiny-2.30 ... '\\Mac\Home\Desktop\perl\data\.cpanm\ +work\1705262050.7844\Config-Tiny-2.30' CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory. UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory. N/A ! Configure failed for Config-Tiny-2.30. See \\Mac\Home\Desktop\perl\d +ata\.cpanm\work\1705262050.7844\build.log for details.
