Hi. Is there a limit to the number of permitted responses ?? I have a thread which seems to not permit another reponse.

Regards JC......

If there is a limit I doubt any of your threads have hit it. gmake error on Glib compile goes 27 deep and Name Space has almost 300 direct replies.

I have a thread which seems to not permit another reponse.

Which thread would that be? Why do you think that?

    No! (Normally...)

    Which thread?

    Edit

    Probably...

There are various display limits , which only mean you need a further click to see more.

Hi. It was the following post that did not give me an indication/invitation on the rhs, to respond to it. So I assume there is a limit.

If you follow the URL you posted (Re^5: SQLite returns funny characters), you will find links to reply again.

Most likely, you want to set up the "Replies header depth" in your User Settings to something sensible like 20, and the "Replies text depth" as well. Otherwise, a link appear there that "some notes below your chosen reply depth have not been shown".

If it's the first post in a thread/subthread view it doesn't have the "reply" link to the right. Instead, there is a "Comment On" link underneath it.
