syphilis has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,

I mainly just want to check that "it's not just me" that's experiencing this issue when trying to access current cpantesters test matrices. For the last week, if I go to any module on metacpan, eg https://metacpan.org/dist/Math-GMP), and click on the "Testers" link to http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Math-GMP+2.25, I get a page with a big red warning near the top that says:
An error was encountered: Error while fetching data from www.cpantesters.org: <500 Internal Serv +er Error> Reusing old cached file, 54.4 days old
That's not a big issue - I don't really need the latest up-to-date results for that module.
But it so happens that I uploaded Math-MPC-1.33 to CPAN on July 29 (7 days ago), and whenever I try to access the test matrix, I get a page that warns:
An error was encountered: Error while fetching data from www.cpantesters.org: <500 Internal Serv +er Error> Reusing old cached file, 54.8 days old
Not very useful when you're trying to get information for a release that was made a week ago.
In fact, the only information available is for version 1.32 or earlier.

Is there some way I can access any reports that might have been lodged for version 1.33. (I usually just rely on the links provided by the matrix but, of course, there are currently no links to reports on version 1.33.)

Are others also cut off from current information ?

Cheers,
Rob

It's not just you - it is a systematic problem. Test reporting is fine but accessing the test results (other than via fast-matrix) is not. It's been like this since the 18th of July. I contacted Doug last month and he was already aware of it and working with the upstream providers. Just need some patience at this point.

Update: There is now a notice on the home page which explains the current status and should hopefully be updated as things progress.

It's not just you - it is a systematic problem.

I figured that it likely wasn't something limited to me.
But after a week of nothing much changing, and with no mention anywhere (that I could see) of there being any problem, I started to wonder.

Thanks for the additional info, and the update.

      Cheers,
      Rob

I get the same error at http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Math-MPC-1.33 right now.

The "fast" (log.txt) report (which is linked in the "Other Links" section of that empty report) at http://fast-matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Math-MPC-1.33 does have data.

The "fast2" (mdjson API) report at https://fast2-matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Math-MPC-1.33 does not have data.

Whenever I get an error or the data has not yet shown up at the main, I go try the log.txt(fast) version. (And for brand-new dists, I don't bother going to the default matrix.)

The fast2 is a newer link which I don't have enough experience with to really comment meaningfully on, but based on today's experiment, I'd say it's got the same data-limitation as the main matrix, even if it is, as it implies, a faster access to the data.
