IPC::Session erratic behaviour

expo1967 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

at the office I am working on a script that uses the IPC::Session module. sometimes when it runs it dies on a call to the constructor method. the line number on the error message is always the same, it points to a line which is just saving the specification for the error handler. Any ideas as to why this happens ?

Any change we could get a Short, Self-Contained, Correct Example? And the full error message? So far, all we know is that the problem may or may not be in IPC::Session or in the caller or in the environment or in the operating system... PerlMonks XP is useless?
